This Saint Lucian movie would not be complete without the voice of the Queen of Culture, Dame Sesenne Descartes. Her voice can be heard adding authenticity to this truly local movie with her popular song Manmay-La Di Way.
Director Davina Lee explained why she chose to use Sesenne's music in the movie, 'Dame Sesenne is a Saint Lucian icon and is responsible for the development and recording of some of the island's best traditional music. I grew up listening to her songs and really wanted to include her in some way. The young creative community must ensure that they always include Saint Lucia's cultural roots in their modern projects.
